The Story...

I started my career in Audit at EY and quickly realised I wanted to be involved in Mergers & Acquisitions.

After spending hours scrolling through M&A related forums and forking out thousands on courses, I still wasn’t confident that I understood exactly what work was performed in the Mergers & Acquisitions team, yet alone how to successfully make the transition.

Fortunately I had some connections that worked in the team who were generous enough to spend time with coaching & guiding me through the process.

After successfully making the transition into the Strategy & Transactions team I went on to lead an in-house M&A team through significant transactions that changed the course of the business.

Why do this?

Like many aspiring professionals, I started my career in audit, stuck in the grind of long hours, tight deadlines, and work that didn’t excite me.

I saw firsthand how it felt to be trapped - working hard but feeling disconnected from where I wanted to be. I knew I wanted more: a career that challenged me, inspired me, and gave me a sense of purpose. That’s when I made the leap into M&A.

As I connected with more people, I realised how many shared the same frustrations - feeling stuck, undervalued, and unsure of how to break into M&A.

That’s when my mission became clear: to create a roadmap for professionals who are ready to break into M&A, helping them develop the skills, build the network, and find the confidence they need to make the transition.
