We aim to discover and support the next generation of talent by connecting them with industry leaders. The competition is free to enter and the only condition is that you are a working professional in Australia with up to five years of professional experience.
The Details
What is the Case Comp?
The M&A Case Comp is a free competition designed to showcase your deal skills in front of top M&A firms. You’ll work through a real-world transaction, submit your analysis, and, if you make the finals, present your findings to a panel of industry professionals.
It’s the most practical way to get noticed, get feedback, and get hired.
Who is it for?
This competition is for two groups: aspiring M&A professionals who want to break into the industry and prove they can deliver on a real deal, and current M&A professionals who want to test their skills against the best in the business.
Whether you're trying to land your first role or looking to add another achievement to the resume, this is your chance to stand out.
How does it work?
Once the competition commences, you’ll receive a realistic M&A deal brief, just like what professionals work on. You’ll analyse the transaction, build your case, and submit your work.
All submissions are completed in teams of two, which you can either self-select or have assigned to you based on your preferences.
The Process
Stage Zero
Registration
Submit your registration to join Australia's largest M&A Case Competition.
Stage One
First Round
Receive the case competition details and submit your presentation by the given deadline.
Stage Two
Second Round
Successful candidates will selected to progress to the next round, which involves a short Zoom call where they present their submission and address any questions.
Stage Three
Finals
Finalists will be invited to present live in front of a panel and M&A Advisory firms from across Australia, concluding with an exclusive networking event.
